Last updated: 12 October 2026
This policy explains how Carve Interiors Limited collects, uses and protects personal information when you use this website, send us an enquiry or work with us. We keep it short and in plain English. If anything is unclear, please get in touch.
Who we are
Carve Interiors Limited is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. We are a company registered in England and Wales (company number 06827007). Our registered office is Units 9–11 Ohio Grove, Hot Lane Industrial Estate, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, ST6 2BL.
You can contact us about this policy or your personal information by email at admin@carveinteriors.co.uk, by phone on 01782 819277, or by post at the address above.
The information we collect
When you send an enquiry
Our enquiry form asks for your name and email address, and you can choose to give your company, phone number, the type of work and the project location, plus a description of your project. You can also attach plans, drawings or photos; we store these privately with your enquiry. We receive the same kind of information when you email or call us.
When we work together
If you become a customer, supplier or subcontractor, we keep the business contact details of the people we deal with, along with project correspondence, quotations, drawings, site information and invoices.
When you visit the website
Like most websites, our hosting and security services record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to keep the site running securely and to block spam and attacks. We do not use it to identify you.
How we use your information
| What we use it for | Our lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry, discussing your project and preparing a quotation | Taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries |
| Carrying out and managing a project, including surveys, manufacture, installation and aftercare | Performing our contract with you or your organisation |
| Accounting, tax, health and safety and other records we have to keep | Complying with our legal obligations |
| Keeping the website secure and filtering spam enquiries | Our legitimate interest in protecting our website and business |
| Handling a complaint or a legal claim | Our legitimate interest in defending our business, and legal obligations |
We will not send you marketing emails unless you have asked us to, and we never sell your information.
When you tick the box on our enquiry form, you confirm that you have read this policy and our terms & conditions. We record that you ticked it along with your enquiry.
Who we share it with
We only share personal information where we need to, and with organisations that must keep it secure:
- our website hosting provider, which stores the website and the enquiries sent through it
- Cloudflare, which delivers the website quickly and protects it against attacks
- our email and IT providers
- suppliers and subcontractors working on your project, where they need contact or site details
- our professional advisers, such as accountants, insurers and solicitors
- the police, regulators or other authorities, where the law requires it
Transfers outside the UK
Some of our service providers, such as Cloudflare, may process information outside the UK. When that happens, we make sure it is protected by UK adequacy regulations or by contract terms approved under UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t go ahead: up to 2 years from our last contact, so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us.
- Customer and project records: 6 years after the end of the financial year in which the project finishes, which is what tax law requires. We may keep records longer where we need them for warranties, building safety records or a legal claim.
- Website security logs: no longer than our hosting and security providers need them, usually a few weeks.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie (such as __cf_bm) to tell people from automated bots, and the website sets login cookies only for our own staff when they sign in to manage it. Strictly necessary cookies do not need your consent.
If we add analytics in future, we will ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies and update this policy first.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to us using it
- ask us to transfer information you gave us to another organisation
Some of these rights depend on the reason we hold the information, and we may need to keep certain records by law. To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will not charge you and will normally reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Keeping your information safe
We use secure (HTTPS) connections on this website, limit access to the people who need it, and keep our systems and software up to date.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
